Motorola is one of the most sturdiest smartphones out there, and they’re promoting their innovative technologies with the Moto Z. Along with their latest campaign, the Moto Mods are their interesting take on customization. So don’t be surprised to see a Keyboard Mod as an accessory in the future. In fact, it’s one of the most famous campaigns in the Transform the Smartphone Challenge. What do you think? Is it a good contender? We believe so.

When you include Verizon’s Moto Z Force Droid along with the line of Moto Z, it’s an excellent smartphone, to say the least. But the fact that you can slap the Moto Mod and transform it into something completely different– this is a game changer. Simply put, we think it’s innovative and compelling.

But wait a minute! The Moto Mod isn’t just a keyboard. You can turn your phone to different things like a projector to watch with friends and family or even a boom box when it’s attached to a JBL speaker mod. If you’re not impressed enough, we don’t know what will.

There’s been a lot of commotion about the Moto Mod, and it’s for a good reason. We’re wondering why challengers like Samsung and Apple didn’t come up with something similar, to begin with. Any thoughts? Perhaps, we’ll never know.

Currently, the Keyboard Mod has the highest backers in the Indigo Transform the Smartphone Challenge with about $93,000 raised! Would you back a landscape style keyboard? We sure will!

So the keyboard offers about five rows with a landscape QWERTY. It’s similar to your older phones since it’s backlit, and you can slide this out under the Moto Z from about 0 – 45 degrees.

Some might say that we’re going backward in technology. Or some are saying that we’re extracting a bit of old into the new. Any thoughts or opinions on this latest news?
