What’s the Deal With Apple’s iPhone 8 OLED Display?

iPhone enthusiasts have been keeping an eye on the iPhone 8’s innovation as rumors are beginning to emerge. Many have reported that this new cell phone will have notable features like OLED and LCD flavors. Still, there is a bit of confusion when it comes to sizes. Many people have claimed that the iPhone 8 will have same sizes which are 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. This is Apple’s signature sizes that they have been using for the past three years.

But what’s the big hype about the iPhone’s size? One insider has finally dished their opinion about it, and here is what they had to say:

OLED Screen

Analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities said that Apple would release three versions: 4.7-inch LCD, 5.5-inch LCD and, OLED. With its innovation, the iPhone 8 will probably be around 5.8-inches in size, but it will be smaller on active display. This means that you only see 5.1-5.2-inches.

The possibility of OLED is rooted from its curved screen. Diagonally, it might be 5.8 inches in length, but the flat cover will display 5.2 at most.

Many rumors have said that it may be as small as 5 inches as they vary in speculations. Still, we have months to go as September 2017 unravels. For now, we’ll continue to see what’s been happening in the tech world as we’re continuously ‘wowed’ over the years.
